Main properties

 - Location - Sredni kolibi village, Veliko Tarnovo district, Bulgaria

 - Building footprint area - 517 m2

 - Gross built-up area - 905.3 m2

 - Construction - Combination of reinforced concrete and steel construction. Volume of concrete - 399,8 m3; total weight of reinforcement - 34 t. Weight of steel construction - 26,9 t

 - Façade walls material - Sandwich panels, 100 mm thick; roof covering - also sandwich panels, 120 mm thick.

The project represents two-floor building in a regulated land property (basement floor and first floor). The construction is a combination of reinforced concrete (foundation and basement) and steel construction. Cornice level - +5.00 m. Constructive height of the basement - 3,50 m. The roof is two-sided, a part of the steel construction.

The structure project is developed and coordinated along with the architecture project, the projects for instalations and the height tracing plan, assigned by the Contractor.

Main structure

The foundation and basement structure is reinforced concrete construction. Its constructive system is monolite, and its constructive scheme is beam-framework, with reinforced concrete slab.

The measures and reinforcement sizes, provided for the bearing elements of the concrete construction are calculated by static-dynamic analysis of a 3D model of the building structure by 3D FE Model, designed by PSCAD v.2,6 software. Ground beams are designed and calculated by GEO5 software.

The composition of the steel structure is assigned by 4 frames with maximum height 6,89 m (level +8,56) at the ridge of the roof. The horizontal measures of the construction are 21/21 m.  The columns of steel structure step on concrete columns by anchoring joint parts, calculated for most unfavorable values of the external reactions.

In order to cover most precisely and in detail the steel structure's behaviour, a spatial computational model has been made by Consteel v.11_SP1 software. By the model is realised most precisely the foreseeing and calculating of the structure's deformations and motions of the structure in different loading cases.

Façade walls and roof structures are planned as a whole steel structure. The walls are enclosed by sandwich panels, 100 mm thick, and the roof covering is also of sandwich panels, 120 mm thick. The basement walls are 25 cm thick. The foundation system is composed by ground beams.
